After arriving late Friday evening, the team began Saturday in Nairobi with a spiritual devotional that kicked off our week of service here in the amazing country of Kenya! The day consisted of a number of different activities where the team saw God and his work here in Kenya. The team had an opportunity to appreciate God’s creation through Kenyan wildlife with a visit to the Giraffe Rescue Center. Here we were able to interact with this amazing species and even feed them! Enroute to Nakuru, the team stopped at Loving Hands Safe House, which is an amazing mission working to provide a safe haven for boys and girls who have been abused as well as a children with HIV/AIDS. Loving Hands is run by Jane, a special, God-fearing woman who has spent the last 32 years working to care for abused children. We were able to spend time with Jane learning about her special calling as well as with many of the 45 children living at Loving Hands as well as donate some food to support this important ministry.
