Costa Rica Women's Trip

Jan Bilthouse and Missy Hamlin will co-lead this meaningful trip, where we will take part in Rice and Beans Ministries (RABMIN), a vital food program for those who need it most. On the trip, we will serve rural communities in Costa Rica, where nearly 80% live in poverty with food insecurity. RABMIN produces 2,000 lbs. of fresh produce per week on their small farm, which is then distributed throughout the community. Ministry opportunities may include harvesting crops and food distribution, painting and light construction work, or bringing Vacation Bible School to the Costa Rican children supported by RABMIN. 

Rice and Beans Ministries began with a simple belief: small acts of kindness can have a ripple effect. Inspired by the power of basic necessities like food, secure housing, and education, we partner with local schools to provide additional food for their students, work closely with disadvantaged migrants to rebuild their homes, and support local churches and schools with quality educational outreach programs.
