Allison and Jordan Kiel will co-lead this impactful trip as we travel to Guatemala City to serve the Santa Maria De Jesus community. Join other PRUMC families as we work side-by-side with local families on the life changing project of building homes. This intimate experience will allow you to build connections with local families, as well as create lasting memories with your own family. No construction experience required - only the willingness to serve. We will take part in ministry with Catalyst Resource International (CRI), as we show God's love in the community through construction projects, packaging and distributing food, and bringing Vacation Bible School to local children. There will also be opportunities to support and spend time with the babies and children of Mimi's House, the on-site orphanage.
Catalyst Resources International seeks to partner with Guatemalan pastors and other Christian organizations to meet the physical and spiritual needs of the people. CRI hosts work teams that come to minister in Guatemala through home and church builds, feeding programs, conducting VBS, supporting medical and dental clinics, and providing chicken coops for needy families. In response to the heart of Jesus Christ towards the "least of these” in Matthew 25:34-40, CRI is an advocate for the children of Guatemala and serves as a catalyst connecting resources to clothe the naked, take food to the hungry, and give water to those who are thirsty.
